Performance “CHAOS” Management for Arts Presenters/Venues
IS THERE UNCONTROLLABLE CHAOS BEFORE EVERY PERFORMANCE?
Not necessarily. Yes, there are a million details to handle. Someone must liaise with artists, vendors, presenters, venue management, and technical staff ensuring that each party’s specific needs are met. Often, there is little planning for this "pre-show madness" and productions suffer needlessly. However, planned “performance chaos management" can greatly reduce pre-show confusion and thereby prevent mishaps and crises.
Production “chaos” management services include:
• A Needs Assessment. Based on pre-production research, a plan of attack is formulated that improves old issues and seeks to prevent other trouble spots.
• Information Processing. Each professional involved in the production is informed about how the current environment affects his/her specific needs.
